BIMetic ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by BIMetic.
This Privacy Policy applies to our application, BIMetic Saved Viewpoints Manager, and its associated services. Our application functions primarily locally on your desktop within the Autodesk Navisworks environment. However, to provide licensing and software updates, we may collect:
- Authentication Data: When you log into Autodesk Navisworks, our plugin uses the Autodesk Entitlement API to verify your license. We only access your unique, anonymized Autodesk User ID to send a secure verification request to Autodesk's servers.
- Usage Telemetry (Optional): If enabled, we may collect anonymous, non-identifying telemetry to help us improve the software's performance.
- Website Analytics: Our website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first, cookie-less tracking tool, to monitor general web traffic without identifying individual users.
We DO NOT collect, store, or transmit your actual Navisworks 3D models, proprietary clash data, or viewpoint contents to our servers.
2. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade any of your personal information. We only share data with trusted infrastructure partners strictly for operational purposes:
- Autodesk: We securely communicate with the Autodesk Entitlement API to validate your App Store subscription. They are bound by their own rigorous privacy standards.
- Analytics: Plausible Analytics processes our web traffic data, but no personal identifiers are shared or stored by them.
3. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your license authentication data only for as long as you maintain an active subscription to the BIMetic Saved Viewpoints Manager. Once your subscription expires or is canceled, any associated authentication records on our end are securely deleted within 30 days. Local snapshots created by the Backup & Restore feature are stored entirely on your local machine and are deleted only when you uninstall the plugin or delete them manually.
4. Revoking Consent and Requesting Deletion
You have the right to revoke your consent for data collection at any time. Because our tool processes data locally, you can revoke consent and halt all data processing simply by uninstalling the BIMetic Saved Viewpoints Manager from Autodesk Navisworks.
